I got involved with clay when I came to Sarasota, Fl. The County had a pottery class, I attended and loved it. For 13 summers I went to Atlanta, to my daughters camp and I had the Special Needs Children work on a project I developed such as making Candle Holders with birds. After that I volunteered in Sarasota at "Building Hope for Cancer Survivors" teaching ceramics for 3 years. When that folded, I invited the participants to my home to continue their hobby. I furnish the clay, the colored glazes, the brushes, etc. and the use of my kiln. Every Fri. we get together for 5 hours of ceramics.
